THE THUNDER THIGHS™ Selectorized Adjustable Hip Abduction + Adduction Machine
THE THUNDER THIGHS is the latest generation of our popular Hip Abduction + Adduction Machine. It combines two essential lower-body isolation movements into one compact, heavy-duty machine while introducing an adjustable-angle back pad, front support handles, premium materials, and structural and functional improvements developed from customer feedback.
Train your inner and outer thighs from a wide range of starting positions, torso angles, and exercise setups, all within a minimal footprint and with an incredibly smooth, natural feel.
The Thunder Thighs is also available with our patent-pending Beyond Power VOLTRA Digital Resistance Integration. This optional configuration allows a compatible Beyond Power VOLTRA to replace the traditional weight stack, reducing the initial cost of the machine while giving you greater control over resistance, eccentric loading, and resistance-curve customization.^
Estimated Shipping Timeline
Machines are currently on the way to us, and orders placed now are expected to ship in late September 2026, with free curbside freight shipping.
All shipping dates are estimates and are subject to production, freight, quality-control, and other delays. Please review our payment and cancellation policies, which apply to all purchased and unfulfilled orders.
Adjustable From Upright to Flat
One of the biggest upgrades to THE THUNDER THIGHS is the adjustable back pad, which moves from approximately 90° upright to 0° flat in 15° increments.
Instead of being locked into one seated position, you can change your torso angle and hip position to find the setup that feels best for your body.
Use a more upright position for a traditional hip abduction or adduction setup, or recline farther back to change the stretch, range of motion, stability demands, and overall feel of the movement.
Seven Starting Positions
The machine provides seven secure starting positions for both hip abduction and hip adduction, allowing you to customize your starting width, loaded stretch, and range of motion.
A convenient lever-operated adjustment system lets you change positions without repeatedly getting out of the machine, while laser-engraved adjustment numbers make it easy to record and return to your preferred settings.
For abduction, you can start narrower or select a wider position for a deeper loaded stretch.
For adduction, you can choose anything from a relatively narrow starting position to a wider setup based on your mobility and preference.
Swiveling Thigh Pads
The thigh pads can swivel and be repositioned depending on whether you are performing hip abduction or adduction.
This keeps the pads properly positioned against your legs throughout each movement and makes switching between exercises fast and intuitive.
The Thunder Thighs includes a taller kneepad than previous versions, allowing for more knee/thigh contact, especially with standing variations utilizing the front grip handles.
Two Foot Positions
Integrated rubber foot supports give you two different foot-placement options, allowing you to choose between a more angled or more perpendicular lower-leg position.
Combined with the adjustable back pad and seven starting positions, this gives you a huge amount of control over how you set up the machine and accommodates users of all builds and heights.
Front Support Handles + Standing Movements
Front-mounted handles give you an additional support point when getting into or out of the machine and open up additional exercise possibilities.
The handles allow you to brace your upper body and maintain greater control throughout standing exercise variations.
Premium Upgrades and Materials
The Thunder Thighs includes several premium upgrades over previous models as standard:
- Solid metal guide rods for increased rigidity and smooth weight-stack travel
- Aluminum pulleys for smooth cable travel and long-term durability
- Knurled aluminum handles for a secure, premium grip
Smooth Selectorized Resistance
A selectorized weight stack makes resistance changes fast and easy.
Move quickly between warm-ups, working sets, drop sets, and unilateral variations without loading or unloading plates.
The updated cable and pulley system is designed to provide smooth, consistent resistance throughout both hip abduction and hip adduction, with a slight drop-off in resistance at the end range of each movement.*
Compact Dual-Function Design
Instead of using valuable floor space for separate abduction and adduction machines, or plate-loaded machines, The Thunder Thighs gives you access to both movements in one compact footprint.
You still get extensive adjustability, heavy-duty construction, and multiple seated and standing exercise options without sacrificing unnecessary space.
Please review the product-gallery dimensions for the machine's minimum and maximum footprint across its different back-pad and movement positions.
Beyond Power VOLTRA Digital Resistance Integration
THE THUNDER THIGHS is also available with our patent-pending Beyond Power VOLTRA Digital Resistance Integration.
This optional configuration allows a compatible Beyond Power VOLTRA to replace the traditional weight stack, reducing the initial machine cost while giving you substantially more control over your resistance.
With VOLTRA, you can customize resistance curves, experiment with eccentric loading, and create resistance profiles that are not possible with a traditional fixed weight stack.
Updated Branding
The Quadrilogy introduces a new metallic Temple of Gainz shield logo, a redesigned and streamlined exercise instruction label, and new Temple of Gainz purple-themed weight-stack decals.
The exercise instruction label is optional. The purple portions of the weight-stack decals may also be trimmed away by the customer to create a black-and-white appearance, if preferred.
Configuration Options
The Weight Stack Configuration includes a 120 kg / 264 lb selectorized weight stack, solid-metal guide rods and the weight-stack cable.
The VOLTRA-Only Configuration includes the Temple of Gainz proprietary VOLTRA retrofit mounting system, VOLTRA-compatible cable routing, a direct 1:1 attachment option, and a hook attachment point for an optional 1:2 pulley configuration.
The VOLTRA-Only Configuration does not include a Beyond Power VOLTRA, DIY Dock, weight stack, guide rods, climbing pulley, or the standard weight-stack cable. A compatible climbing pulley is required for 1:2 operation and must be purchased separately.
Please note that selecting the VOLTRA-Only Configuration means the machine cannot be used without a VOLTRA connected. A metallic cable hook is included to secure the cable to the frame whenever the VOLTRA is removed. When disconnected, the cable must always be placed on this hook to prevent it from sliding upward into the machine.
A dedicated VOLTRA-Only video manual will be available and will explain proper installation, setup, stowing, and operation. Use of the VOLTRA with this machine is at the user’s discretion and requires careful adherence to both Temple of Gainz and Beyond Power instructions.
Please read the Digital Resistance Integration Disclaimer carefully before use, and contact us with any questions regarding proper setup or operation.
^Beyond Power VOLTRA Compatibility, and Safety Disclaimer
The Beyond Power VOLTRA and DIY Dock are manufactured and sold separately and are not included.
Users must follow all operating instructions, warnings, resistance limits, setup requirements, and safety guidance provided by both Temple of Gainz and Beyond Power.
For additional information regarding VOLTRA use and digital resistance integration, please review our Digital Resistance Integration Disclaimer before purchasing or using the machine.
By purchasing the VOLTRA-Only Configuration or using a VOLTRA with the Quadrilogy, the purchaser acknowledges that they have reviewed and accepted the Digital Resistance Integration Disclaimer and understand the applicable operating instructions, resistance limitations, safety guidelines, inherent risks, and user responsibilities.
Future Weight Stack Conversion
Customers who purchase the VOLTRA-Only Configuration may later purchase the components required to convert the machine to the traditional Weight Stack Configuration, subject to availability and compatibility.
The current estimated price for the conversion package is $500, plus applicable taxes and freight shipping. Freight shipping may cost approximately $400 or more, depending on destination, carrier rates, delivery requirements, and accessorial charges.
Pricing and availability are subject to change. Installation is not included.
Delivery and Assembly Expectations
Please review our Shipping Policy and Product and Assembly Policy before purchasing, including all delivery, inspection, installation, and assembly expectations.
By completing a purchase, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the applicable shipping, assembly, payment, cancellation, safety, and product-use policies.
