Product & Assembly Disclaimer

Thank you for your interest in Temple of Gainz equipment.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the following disclaimers, which constitute an integral part of our Terms & Conditions. These terms are legally binding upon purchase and govern all aspects of product delivery, assembly, condition, and post-sale support.

1. Cosmetic Imperfections

All Temple of Gainz machines are designed and engineered in the United States and manufactured overseas. We prioritize performance, durability, and safety, and conduct quality control inspections at both the factory and our Los Angeles warehouse.

Despite individual wrapping and careful handling, minor cosmetic imperfections may occur as a result of international shipping, crating, packaging, and transport. These may include light scuffs, scratches, or superficial blemishes.

Cosmetic flaws do not warrant part replacement and touch-up paint is available upon request & confirmation of cosmetic flaws. Any other minor color variations or aesthetic inconsistencies are not considered defects.

Functional issues or missing components, however, are treated with urgency and will be addressed appropriately.

2. Assembly Requirements

Temple of Gainz machines are heavy-duty fitness equipment designed for serious training. They are not lightweight or conventionally flat-packed products. Unless expressly stated otherwise, machines are delivered crated and disassembled or partially disassembled and require proper tools, sufficient space, time, physical effort, and at least two capable adults for safe assembly.

Due to the size, weight, and complexity of the equipment, customers should expect assembly to require approximately 2 to 8 hours or more per machine, depending on the model, the customer’s tools, mechanical experience, available assistance, and familiarity with fitness equipment. Larger or more complex machines may require additional time.

Assembly may involve heavy steel frames, bearings, guide rods, weight stacks, cables, pulleys, cams, adjustment mechanisms, and other precision components. Minor variations may occur between production runs, and assembly may require reasonable mechanical experience, alignment, adjustment, troubleshooting, and problem-solving ability.

We provide digital assembly manuals or photo guides for applicable models through a QR code rather than printed copies. Digital instructions allow us to continually update and improve the assembly process. Customers are responsible for reviewing the applicable instructions in full before beginning assembly and for confirming that all hardware and components are present before proceeding.

Commonly required tools may include, but are not limited to:

  • Metric Allen or hex keys
  • Metric sockets, ratchets, and wrenches
  • Phillips and flat-head screwdrivers
  • Hammer or rubber mallet
  • Level and measuring tape
  • Silicone-based lubricant
  • Appropriate lifting, moving, and safety equipment

Tool requirements vary by model. Customers should not begin assembly without the proper tools or attempt to substitute unsafe tools or assembly methods.

Because of the size and weight of our equipment, all machines must be assembled by a minimum of two capable adults. Certain models, components, or assembly steps may require additional assistance, lifting equipment, or a qualified professional installer. Temple of Gainz is not responsible for injury, property damage, equipment damage, improper operation, premature wear, or other losses resulting from improper assembly, insufficient assistance, incorrect tools, failure to follow instructions, or unauthorized modifications.

Although many customers successfully assemble their machines themselves, customers who are unfamiliar with fitness-equipment assembly or with components such as bearings, guide rods, weight stacks, cables, pulleys, cams, and heavy steel frames should hire a qualified local fitness-equipment technician.

Professional assembly commonly costs approximately $200 to $600 per machine, although actual pricing may vary significantly depending on the machine, location, travel requirements, installer, and scope of work.

For professional assembly, customers may consider:

  • Southern California: Contact Temple of Gainz for a local technician referral
  • Nationwide: Fitness Machine Technicians or a qualified local commercial fitness-equipment installe

Any third-party installer is an independent contractor and is not employed, controlled, guaranteed, or supervised by Temple of Gainz. Customers are responsible for selecting, hiring, scheduling, and paying the installer and for confirming that the installer is qualified and properly insured.

Temple of Gainz does not generally provide assembly services outside the Los Angeles area. Local installation is typically faster and more cost-effective than sending a Temple of Gainz technician to the customer’s location

Customers must inspect the machine after assembly and before use. All bolts, cables, pulleys, guide rods, weight stacks, adjustment pins, safety stops, bearings, moving components, and attachments must be properly installed, aligned, tightened, secured, and tested with a light load before normal use.

If any component appears missing, damaged, improperly aligned, or unsafe, customers must stop assembly or use immediately and contact Temple of Gainz for assistance.

By completing a purchase, the customer acknowledges that they have reviewed and accepted these assembly requirements and understand that assembly labor, tools, equipment, professional installation, and related expenses are not included in the purchase price unless expressly stated otherwise.

3. Product Support and Replacement Policy

We are a small but responsive team, and we strive to address all customer support and assembly inquiries within one business day (Monday through Friday).

In rare instances, components may be missing, defective, or damaged beyond cosmetic concerns. When this occurs:

  • If spare parts are in stock, we will ship replacements at no cost.

  • If parts are not available, they will be re-manufactured by our factory and shipped directly to you, which may require additional time.

4. Felt Weight Disclaimer

The stated weight of selectorized and plate-loaded machines does not always directly correspond to the “felt” resistance experienced during use.

Unlike free weights, most strength machines utilize a combination of levers, pulleys, cams, and guided movement paths. These mechanical factors, along with user positioning and range of motion, influence how resistance is experienced throughout an exercise.

For selectorized machines, resistance is affected by cable routing, cam profiles, and overall machine geometry. For plate-loaded machines, the position of the weight horn relative to the movement path plays a significant role, along with lever arm length, pivot placement, and the direction of force through the exercise.

All machines inherently produce variable resistance curves due to changes in leverage, joint angles, and the effects of gravity throughout the range of motion. As a result, resistance may feel lighter or heavier at different points in the movement.

Because of these variables, machines are not directly comparable to free weights or to each other based solely on listed weight. Perceived resistance will vary depending on machine design, configuration, and individual use.

Our machines are designed to provide smooth, consistent, and effective resistance profiles; however, actual felt resistance will vary based on machine mechanics and user interaction.

Replacement Parts Shipping Information

All replacement parts are heavy and must be shipped through UPS Ground or USPS Ground Advantage for safe and reliable delivery. We cover all shipping costs for replacement parts. Due to the weight and size of our components, we do not offer overnight shipping. We understand this may be inconvenient, and we sincerely apologize for any delay. Our priority is to make sure every customer is fully up and running, even if it takes a few extra days for replacement parts to arrive.

In some cases, we may ask that defective or incorrect parts be returned to us for quality control. If so, we will provide a prepaid return label and instructions.

We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we will work diligently to ensure your issue is resolved thoroughly.

Your satisfaction is important to us. If you have any questions, concerns, or require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our team at info@templeofgainz.com.
