Temple of Gainz machines may include mounts, brackets, hooks, cable-routing components, or other features designed to facilitate use with certain third-party digital resistance devices, including the Beyond Power VOLTRA. These integration features are intended to provide a mounting and routing interface only.

Temple of Gainz does not manufacture, control, operate, service, warrant, or guarantee any Beyond Power VOLTRA, DIY Dock, climbing pulley, carabiner, software, firmware, mobile application, battery, cable, accessory, or other third-party product.

Unless expressly stated in the applicable product listing or order invoice, the Beyond Power VOLTRA, DIY Dock, climbing pulley, carabiners, cable-retention accessories, and all other third-party products are sold separately and are not included with the Temple of Gainz machine.

By purchasing or using any Temple of Gainz digital resistance integration component, the purchaser and user acknowledge that digital resistance training involves additional risks beyond those associated with a traditional weight stack or plate-loaded machine. Use of any digital resistance device with Temple of Gainz equipment is entirely at the purchaser’s and user’s own risk.

Manufacturer Instructions Control

Users must read, understand, and follow all current instructions, warnings, specifications, resistance limits, mounting requirements, maintenance procedures, software guidance, and safety information issued by both Temple of Gainz and the manufacturer of the digital resistance device.

The user is responsible for confirming that the device, firmware, software, mounting hardware, cable, connectors, accessories, and selected operating mode are compatible with the intended machine and exercise.

Temple of Gainz instructions supplement, but do not replace, the digital resistance device manufacturer’s instructions. If any Temple of Gainz instruction conflicts with the device manufacturer’s safety guidance, the more restrictive instruction must be followed and use must stop until the conflict is resolved.

Digital resistance devices, software, firmware, training modes, and manufacturer recommendations may change over time. Users are responsible for reviewing the most current manufacturer instructions before installation and use.

Required Starting and Racking Procedure

The machine must be placed in its designated starting, resting, or fully racked position before resistance is activated, increased, decreased, adjusted, or otherwise changed.

Never activate resistance while the machine is unsecured, unracked, between adjustment positions, or outside its intended starting position.

Never change resistance, training modes, eccentric settings, assistance settings, speed settings, resistance curves, or other device settings while:

  • The machine is unracked
  • The movement arm or carriage is unsupported
  • The user is actively performing a repetition
  • The cable is under uncontrolled tension
  • A person is entering or exiting the machine
  • An adjustment pin, selector, pad, stop, or movement setting is being changed
  • Any person or body part is within a potential path of movement

Before changing any resistance or device setting, stop the exercise, maintain control of the machine, return it completely to the designated racked or secure starting position, and confirm that all safety stops, hooks, catches, pins, and adjustment mechanisms are fully engaged.

The user must never rely solely on electronic resistance to hold a movement arm, carriage, lever, pad, or other machine component in place.

Begin With Minimal Resistance

Users must begin each new exercise, configuration, mounting arrangement, cable route, software mode, or resistance setting with minimal resistance.

Before beginning a working set, perform controlled test repetitions to confirm that:

  • The machine is stable
  • The digital resistance device is securely mounted
  • The cable follows the intended path
  • Every pulley and carabiner is properly aligned
  • All attachment points are fully closed and engaged
  • The machine can be safely racked and unracked
  • The resistance behaves as expected
  • The range of motion does not cause cable interference, slack, binding, impact, or contact with the frame
  • No component moves unexpectedly

Resistance should be increased gradually only after the user has confirmed proper setup and safe operation.

Maximum Effective Resistance

The total effective resistance applied to any Temple of Gainz machine must never exceed that machine’s published maximum resistance or load rating – 264 lb for selectorized machines and 308 lb for the All-in-One V2 rack.

The user must account for all resistance produced by the digital resistance device, including resistance created through:

  • Concentric loading
  • Eccentric overload
  • Chains or band-simulation modes
  • Adaptive resistance
  • Variable resistance
  • Isokinetic or constant-speed modes
  • Velocity-responsive resistance
  • Starting resistance
  • Assistance or spotter functions
  • Software-based resistance changes
  • Mechanical pulley multiplication
  • Any combination of digital and mechanical resistance

For a machine with a factory-rated maximum of 264 lb, the total effective resistance applied to the machine must never exceed 264 lb under any circumstances.

When using a 1:2 pulley configuration, the digital resistance setting must be reduced to account for mechanical multiplication. For example, approximately 132 lb of device resistance may result in approximately 264 lb of effective resistance, depending on the precise cable route, pulley arrangement, friction, device mode, and machine mechanics.

The user is solely responsible for calculating total effective resistance correctly. When uncertain, the user must select a lower setting or discontinue use.

A digital device’s own maximum output is not the machine’s approved operating limit. The lower applicable limit always controls.

Cable Tension and Movement-Arm Control

Certain dual-function machines depend on continuous cable tension or a counterbalancing force to keep a movement arm, carriage, or selector mechanism controlled.

Before changing exercise positions or transitioning between movements, the digital resistance device must be properly connected, powered on, and set to sufficient starting resistance to maintain control of the applicable movement arm.

Changing exercise positions while the cable is slack, disconnected, improperly routed, unloaded, or insufficiently tensioned may cause a movement arm, lever, carriage, pad, selector, or attachment to move suddenly and with significant force.

Users must keep their hands, fingers, feet, head, clothing, hair, and all other body parts clear of movement arms, carriages, selectors, adjustment mechanisms, pulleys, cables, carabiners, hooks, weight horns, and pinch points during setup, adjustment, exercise transitions, and use.

No person should stand within the potential path of an uncontrolled movement arm, carriage, cable, attachment, or accessory.

Cable Routing and Retention

The cable must be routed only through the designated pulleys, hooks, guides, and attachment points shown in the applicable Temple of Gainz instructions.

The cable must not rub against the frame, bolts, brackets, guards, sharp edges, weight horns, adjustment mechanisms, or any surface not intended for cable contact.

The user must confirm before every use that the cable:

  • Is fully seated within every pulley
  • Is properly aligned with the direction of pull
  • Is not crossed, twisted, pinched, kinked, or obstructed
  • Has not jumped out of a pulley
  • Does not contact any sharp or abrasive surface
  • Shows no visible fraying, cuts, flattening, separation, unusual wear, or other damage
  • Maintains appropriate tension throughout the intended movement

When the machine is not in use, the cable must be secured so it cannot retract unexpectedly, travel upward, become unseated, strike the machine, or create a trip, impact, or entanglement hazard.

A suitable and properly rated magnetic hook, cable anchor, retention device, or other restraint should be used when necessary. Any retention device must be compatible with the cable and positioned so that it does not damage the cable, interfere with movement, or create another hazard.

Never allow the cable to retract in an uncontrolled manner.

Mounts, Brackets, Carabiners, and Accessories 

Before every use, the user must inspect and confirm that the digital resistance device, mount, DIY Dock, Temple of Gainz integration bracket, climbing pulley, carabiners, hooks, bolts, pins, cables, and other accessories are properly installed, tightened, locked, aligned, and free from visible damage.

Carabiners must be fully closed and loaded only in their intended direction. Side-loading, cross-loading, gate-loading, twisting, or using an improperly sized or unrated connector may cause failure.

All pulleys, carabiners, hooks, anchors, straps, and other accessories used in the resistance path must be appropriately rated for the maximum potential force, including any multiplied or eccentric resistance.

Magnets, friction, cable tension, or device weight alone must never be treated as a substitute for a mechanical locking or securing mechanism where one is required.

Do not use makeshift, damaged, modified, improperly rated, or incompatible components.

Third-Party Device and Software Risks

Digital resistance devices may behave differently from traditional weight stacks. Use may involve risks including, but not limited to:

  • Sudden increases or decreases in resistance
  • Unexpected eccentric loading
  • Delayed resistance activation or release
  • Cable retraction or acceleration
  • Loss of cable tension
  • Incorrect resistance calculations
  • Improper software settings
  • Accidental remote adjustments
  • Touchscreen or control errors
  • Firmware or application errors
  • Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or communication interruptions
  • Power loss
  • Low battery
  • Battery failure
  • Motor, sensor, lock, mount, cable, or device malfunction
  • Assistance or safety features activating unexpectedly or failing to activate
  • Device shutdown
  • Attachment or connector failure
  • Compatibility problems
  • Unauthorized use by children, guests, or other persons

Built-in electronic safety features must not be treated as a substitute for correct setup, conservative loading, mechanical safety stops, proper supervision, or user control.

The user must remain capable of safely controlling and racking the machine if electronic resistance changes, disengages, or becomes unavailable.

Inspection, Maintenance, and Discontinuing Use

The complete machine and digital resistance setup must be inspected before every use.

Use must stop immediately if:

  • The machine or device moves unexpectedly
  • The cable becomes slack, unseated, twisted, obstructed, or damaged
  • The mount, dock, bracket, hook, pulley, or carabiner shifts
  • A fastener loosens
  • Resistance behaves unexpectedly
  • The machine cannot be securely racked
  • A safety stop or adjustment mechanism does not engage
  • The device displays an error or warning
  • Any component shows visible damage, unusual wear, deformation, cracking, or excessive movement
  • The user is uncertain whether the setup is safe

Damaged components must not be repaired, altered, bypassed, or substituted except in accordance with applicable manufacturer instructions.

No Modification or Unapproved Use

Temple of Gainz digital resistance integration components may be used only with the machines, mounting locations, cable routes, and configurations expressly approved by Temple of Gainz.

Do not drill, weld, bend, grind, cut, relocate, reverse, or otherwise modify any mount, bracket, hook, cable route, machine frame, safety stop, attachment point, or other component.

Do not combine digital resistance with a weight stack, weight plates, resistance bands, chains, another digital resistance device, or any other external resistance unless that exact configuration has been expressly approved in writing by Temple of Gainz.

Do not use the integration components for exercises, machines, attachments, or configurations not expressly approved by Temple of Gainz.

User Qualifications and Supervision

Digital resistance integration should be used only by individuals who understand the machine, the digital resistance device, the cable route, resistance calculations, racking procedure, and applicable safety instructions.

Children, inexperienced users, guests, and persons unfamiliar with the equipment must not use the integration without direct supervision from a knowledgeable adult.

Users with limited mobility, balance concerns, injuries, medical conditions, or uncertainty regarding exercise suitability should consult an appropriate qualified professional before use.

Third-Party Products and Warranty

Temple of Gainz makes no representation or warranty regarding the performance, reliability, software, firmware, safety systems, service life, compatibility, availability, or continued support of any third-party device or accessory.

Digital resistance compatibility does not mean that Temple of Gainz has approved every device setting, software mode, firmware version, accessory, cable, carabiner, mount, modification, or future product revision.

Temple of Gainz does not warrant that use of a Temple of Gainz integration component will preserve or comply with any third-party manufacturer’s warranty.

Damage to a VOLTRA or other third-party product must be addressed directly with its manufacturer or seller. Temple of Gainz is not authorized to make warranty determinations, repairs, replacements, refunds, or service commitments on behalf of Beyond Power or any other third party.

Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the purchaser and user voluntarily assume all risks associated with installing and using digital resistance equipment with a Temple of Gainz machine, whether those risks are known, unknown, foreseeable, or unforeseeable.

Temple of Gainz is not responsible for injury, disability, death, property damage, machine damage, cable damage, damage to a VOLTRA or other third-party device, data loss, business interruption, loss of use, repair expenses, replacement expenses, or any other direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or economic loss arising from or relating to:

  • Misuse
  • Improper installation
  • Improper mounting
  • Improper cable routing
  • Incorrect resistance calculations
  • Excessive effective resistance
  • Improper programming
  • Changing resistance while the machine is unracked or under load
  • Failure to maintain control of the machine
  • Failure to maintain cable tension
  • Uncontrolled cable retraction
  • Failure to inspect or maintain the equipment
  • Use of damaged or incompatible components
  • Unauthorized modifications
  • Third-party device defects or failures
  • Software, firmware, battery, sensor, motor, cable, mount, or communication failures
  • Failure of electronic safety features
  • Failure to follow Temple of Gainz or third-party manufacturer instructions
  • Any other unsafe, unintended, or unauthorized use

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Purchaser and User Acknowledgment

By purchasing, installing, or using a Temple of Gainz digital resistance integration component, the purchaser and user acknowledge and agree that they:

  1. Have read and understood this Digital Resistance Integration Disclaimer.
  2. Have reviewed the applicable Temple of Gainz machine instructions.
  3. Have reviewed the current instructions and warnings supplied by the digital resistance device manufacturer.
  4. Understand that the digital resistance device and related third-party accessories are sold separately unless expressly stated otherwise.
  5. Understand how to rack and secure the machine before changing resistance or settings.
  6. Understand how to calculate total effective resistance, including pulley multiplication and eccentric loading.
  7. Accept responsibility for installation, setup, inspection, maintenance, resistance selection, cable routing, and safe operation.
  8. Understand and voluntarily accept the inherent risks associated with digital resistance integration.
  9. Agree to discontinue use immediately if any component or operating condition appears unsafe.
  10. Agree to all applicable Temple of Gainz product, assembly, shipping, safety, warranty, and use policies.
