ABOUT US
Our Story:
My name is Yoni, and I started Temple of Gainz for you, because I started Temple of Gainz for me. Let me explain.
I started powerlifting in 2010 but could never find consistency in my training. When I had an opportunity to build my first home gym a few years later, I used 2x4s to build a squat and bench rack. I eventually purchased a real power rack and went down the rabbit hole of home gym fitness equipment. (Sound familiar?!)
As my training focus evolved towards bodybuilding & hypertrophy and away from powerlifting, I wanted to expand my home gym with machines, but it seemed like there were only two choices:
1.) Sub-par home gym equipment that did not justify the high price tags
2.) Commercial gym equipment which was too difficult to transport and too expensive to justify
Brand new commercial gym pieces were way out of my budget and most companies I reached out to did not even respond. With a background in international business and logistics, I worked with several manufacturers to start designing and bringing in machines to build myself the perfect home gym.
I loved my gym and so did everyone I trained with – no one could not believe the quality of my equipment, especially for the price. Soon, people were asking me to bring pieces in for them.
Encouraged by the quality and success of my own home gym project, Temple of Gainz was born!
I want to share my passion with you. I want you to have the opportunity to purchase and use the machines you wished you had room for and could afford, to your home gym or training studio.
My team and I test and use every piece we sell, and we will not sell anything that has not been vetted and approved. We pick apart and design the models for every one of our products, constantly seeking to improve and innovate, based on our own personal use & customer feedback.
Whatever questions you have about our machines, we'll answer. If you need help assembling, we'll call you and help until we figure it out.
If you have an idea for a machine or an improvement or want to put together an entire gym with a custom color scheme, we'll make it happen.
It's 2024 and the world has changed dramatically. More and more people are working from home and/or investing in their personal space.
And unfortunately, more and more people are making commercial gyms a toxic atmosphere with more tripods and film crews than squat racks.
If health and fitness is your priority, why not build your own Temple of Gainz?
We live by one motto: Your Body is a Temple. Let's Build It.
Provide the highest quality, most versatile and effective strength and hypertrophy training equipment, in the most compact form factors, at the best prices, with the best customer service.
Breaking this down:
Highest Quality:
We focus on producing the highest quality machines using the highest quality materials.
That includes heavy-duty powder-coated steel, super smooth state-of-the art bearings, knurled aluminum handles (plate-loaded) and textured rubber grips (selectorized), optional aluminum pulleys, and quality control at every step.
Most Versatile & Compact:
Our focus is on designing and producing dual or multi-use machines, understanding that - if the greatest constraint in life is time, the greatest constraint in a gym is space.
We design and build our machines to be as versatile as they are compact. Our "Grand Temple" All-in-One Rack covers dozens, if not hundreds, of exercises, and our isolation machines have dual (ex: Leg Extension + Curl Machine) or even multiple uses (ex: Multi-Flight Machine).
Our single movement machines do what they do exceptionally well, in the tightest possible form factor. Even weight storage horns are optional, to save on space. Most plate-loaded machines even have multiple grips and adjustable seat heights (ex: Iso-Lateral Row) to target different muscle groups.
Most Effective:
Our machines are designed and engineered to follow biomechanically correct principles and we constantly improving our machines to improve them. For example, Version 2 of our Multi-Flight Machine involved a design and labor intensive process to calculate the perfect lengths and angle of the handles, for the most natural and intuitive feel.
Every plate-loaded machine has adjustable seating and follows the most natural converging, diverging, or linear motion path for the muscle group and movement in question.
Our selectorized machines offer the adjustability and versatility to work for trainees of all body types and experience levels.
Strength & Hypertrophy Training:
Some people chase PRs and others want bulbous biceps, rotund rhomboids, legendary lats, and gargantuan glutes (and can you blame them?)
Our equipment is made for everyone, from strength and powerlifting enthusiasts to competitive bodybuilders.
We are focused and motivated by strength and growth. Whatever your training goals are - our machines will help you get there.
The Best Prices:
They say, "You get what you pay for," but, do you really?
Why do some commercial machines cost upwards of $10,000 or more?
On the other hand, why are so "home gym" machines costly, but skimp out with cheap parts and poor packaging?
We're here to bridge the gap. Our machines are not cheap, but they are the absolute best prices you will find on commercial-quality machines that have all of the functionality, feel, and quality of the big name brands, at a fraction of the cost.
We're a boutique operation, focused on bringing in the right pieces, at the right prices.
We have curated a select group of our favorite machines and if a machine is not currently in stock, there are always more on the way.
The Best Customer Service:
Every member of our team trains regularly and uses Temple of Gainz equipment and knows our machines inside and out.
We come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, from logistics and warehousing to graphic design and 3D modeling, and we all value and understand the importance of providing the absolute best customer service.

WILL-CALL, SHIPPING, LOGISTICS, & ASSEMBLY
Where is your warehouse located?
Our warehouse is located in Vernon, CA.
Can orders be picked up locally? If so, what times and what do I need?
Absolutely! If you are local to Southern California, you can pick up equipment from our Vernon warehouse Mondays through Fridays, 6:30AM to 4:30PM. Orders are ready within 1 business day, and if you contact us before your purchase, we can usually arrange for same-day pick-ups.
We are often asked, "Do I need to rent a moving truck?" It's a great question and largely depends on which machine and the number of machines you are purchasing.
We can load crates directly onto your truck, but also offer uncrating and individual part-loading services. Some machines can even individually be loaded in the back of an SUV, once uncrated and loaded as individual parts.
If you contact us, we will be more than happy to walk you through local pickup and answer your questions.
What if I'm not local to Southern California, do you offer shipping services? How do I track my order?
Absolutely – the majority of Temple of Gainz machines are distributed nationally!
You can read our Shipping Policy here, but to summarize, we LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) crated machines to your destination, using a range of trusted common carriers within our logistics network.
You will receive an auto-generated email with your item details once your order is placed on our site, followed by an email from our customer service team with more information regarding shipping.
Once your order has shipped, you will be notified which carrier, the tracking number, and a link or website through which to track your delivery.
Our shipping carriers will have your information and will be directly in touch with you to schedule your delivery date and time.
If you have any questions at any point, you can contact us.
Are all your items in stock and how quickly do they ship? How long does shipping take?
All products that are available for purchase online are in-stock and can be picked up locally within 1 business day and ship within 3-6 business days.
We aim for the quickest possible turnaround, but handling time largely depends on current order volume and the complexity of your order.
If a machine is not currently available or out-of-stock, it may be pre-ordered and will ship as soon as it becomes available. Pre-orders guarantee your spot “in line” and we will provide frequent updates on the status/timing of your pre-order. Our ETAs are always approximate and we strive to present dates accurately, but delays outside of our control may occur.
How do products arrive?
Temple of Gainz was established with the primary intention of being accessible to home gym and equipment enthusiasts across the United States.
Our machines are designed and engineered to arrive disassembled, in crates, and be assembled (with basic tools) by two people.
Yes, there is something remarkable and nostalgic about fully-welded commercial bodybuilding machines from the 1970s and 1980s, but these machines are impractical for 99% of users who don't have massive gate doors and forklifts to maneuver equipment.
By choosing to manufacture disassembled machines and package them in crates, we can dramatically reduce the price of storage and shipping and make otherwise impractical machines you thought you would never be able to own, completely within your grasp.
Plus, because machines arrive disassembled, they can easily be moved into nearly any room or location in your home or facility. Most pieces can be easily carried by one person, but the larger parts (such as major frame components) should be carried by two people. Many of our customers have gyms in their basements and are able to move even the largest machines into their gyms, by carrying individual parts down.
Can I assemble machines myself and if so, what can I expect from the assembly process? What tools do I need?
Assembly instructions are available for each machine and assembly is straightforward. (For safety reasons, all machines should be assembled by a minimum of two people.)
Plate-Loaded Machines: Once the basic frame has been bolted together, the most involved assembly step requires holding the movement arm(s) in place and inserting the bearings. This task requires two people - one person to hold the movement arm in place, and another to put the bearing in place.
Selectorized Machines: Following a similar process to plate-loaded machines, with the final step of routing the cable and assembling the weight stack. Each weight plate "slides" over the guide rails, and the cable routing process is much easier than you would expect!
The All-In-One Rack takes more time, but again, is very straightforward. The process involves building the frame, connecting the smith machine bar, and assembling the weight stack and functional trainer portion of the machine.
The most basic tools required are allen keys (up to 8mm), adjustable wrenches, a phillips-head screwdriver, and some type of flat-faced hammer (to tap bearings into place). If possible, we highly recommend buying (or borrowing!) an impact driver, metric allen impact bits, metric impact sockets, ratcheting metric wrenches, and a ball peen hammer.
If you have more questions about installation and the assembly process before purchasing, feel free to contact us.
Someone on our team has assembled every single machine we offer, so if you ever need help, we are just a phone or video call away!
Do you offer assembly services?
Assembly services through Temple of Gainz are currently available in Southern California only. From our research, companies that offer assembly services will subcontract Taskrabbit workers that are generally unfamiliar with their specific machines and hope for the best.
We would rather save you the money by not overcharging for this service – if you choose to hire someone to assemble your machines, any competent person that offers fitness equipment assembly will be able to assemble your machine(s), at a rate you can negotiate and control.
If you have a more specific question for your location, please contact us and we will be happy to help you find a solution.
PAYMENT, FINANCING, & PACKAGE DEALS
What forms of payment do you accept? Do you offer financing?
We accept all major credit cards, bank transfers, PayPal, and checks.
Financing is available through Shop Pay, Affirm, Klarna, and Square. If you are having trouble checking out or do not see any of the options above, please contact us for help.
Do you offer package deals?
Depending on your delivery location, we may be able to pass bundle shipping savings onto you. If you are interested in purchasing multiple machines at once, please contact us or give us a call at (310) 853-3559 and we will see what we can work out for larger quantity orders.
OTHER QUESTIONS
Where are Temple of Gainz products made?
Approximately 90% of ALL fitness equipment in the industry is made overseas, with very little production being done stateside.
We have several manufacturing plants in Asia that we work very closely with and manage in person. We oversee all stages of production, from design, to manufacturing, to packaging, and shipping.
We know that there are companies and factories that sell very similar machines to ours. However, all Temple of Gainz machine design changes (such as Version 2 machines) are exclusive to Temple of Gainz. Our goal is not to slap our logo on off-the-shelf imported products, but to become a market disruptor in the fitness equipment space, with our dedication to innovation and improvement.
We understand the desire for Made-in-America equipment and hope to soon offer a line of accessories and equipment that is Made-in-America by partnering with smaller, boutique manufacturers. However, as a California-incorporated tax-paying small business, we employee and contract the services of dozens of American citizens and your purchases support the local & US economy in many ways.
Why don’t you offer benches, dumbbells, barbells, and regular power racks, etc.?
Every member of our team has a home gym, and we are very familiar with the home gym equipment landscape. We know where others shine and where they don't.
By offering a select range of products, focusing on gaps in the market, we can inventory the fewest number of SKUs with the highest possible inventory.
We only want to offer the products that are hard-to-find and better quality for a better price. We have chosen not to offer some of the more generically available products, such as benches, dumbbells, and barbells.
That said, if you are looking to custom order a complete dumbbell set, fixed barbell (straight or EZ bar) set, etc., we can special order and bring in these products for you at the best prices.
We also have access to a wide range of machines that may not be regularly stocked or inventoried by us. Please contact us if you are interested, or (see the next question below) if there is a machine you do not see on our website that you are interested in!
If I have a machine in mind and don't see it on your website, can I purchase it through you somehow?
To offer to best possible prices, we have curated a select number of machines. That said, we are constantly expanding our catalog, with new and exciting products.
If there is a machine you want and we don't offer it, there is a 99.99% chance we can special order it for you.
For example, if you are looking for a Selectorized Pull-Up and Dip Assist Machine, we'll make it happen!
As we grow as a company, we will listen to you and create the products YOU want.
Please contact us if you are interested in special ordering a product you currently do not see available on our site.
Also, if you have a design idea to improve one of our machines, or an idea for a machine you think we should produce, let us know! We thrive on the pursuit of innovation and the thrill of creating new and exciting products.
Are custom colors (frame, upholstery) an option?
Absolutely! To appeal to the widest range of users, we decided to create our machines with black powder-coated frames and black upholstery. We love the look and believe you will too.
If you are matching an existing color scheme, or want to change the color of machine frames and/or upholstery, we can special order the machine(s) you are looking for, in the color(s) you want.
Please contact us and we will make it happen!
Special and custom ordered equipment takes 10-12 weeks from the time of purchase until order fulfillment and our prices are just as competitive - if not more, if you are ordering several machines at once.
