THE BUBBLE BUTT Adjustable 3D Smith Hip Thrust Machine

$2,499.99

THE BUBBLE BUTT is our most advanced dedicated hip thrust machine, designed to deliver a stable, highly adjustable, and natural-feeling hip thrust movement within a heavy-duty, compact platform.

Unlike traditional fixed-path hip thrust machines, The Bubble Butt uses an adjustable 3D Smith-style movement system that allows the carriage to travel both vertically and horizontally. This creates a movement path that can better follow the natural arc of the hips throughout the exercise rather than forcing every user into a single fixed trajectory.

The machine combines extensive setup adjustability, two pad configuration options, an adjustable-angle footplate, multiple starting positions, and an integrated standing calf raise function into one versatile lower-body training platform.

What Is The Bubble Butt?

The Bubble Butt is a plate-loaded hip thrust machine designed to train the glutes through a controlled and stable range of motion while allowing the movement carriage to adapt to the user’s natural hip path.

The 3D Smith-style carriage travels vertically while also allowing controlled forward and backward movement. This creates a more natural exercise path and helps users maintain consistent contact with the pad throughout the movement.

Multiple setup adjustments allow users to customize the machine based on their height, body proportions, preferred foot position, and desired range of motion.

The machine includes two interchangeable back and shoulder pad configurations:

Flat Back Pad + Multi-Adjustable Shoulder Pad Assembly

Oversized Round Back Pad

Adjustable 3D Smith Movement

The Bubble Butt’s defining feature is its adjustable 3D Smith-style carriage system.

Traditional Smith machines and many dedicated hip thrust machines move along a fixed path in one plane (or arc of motion). The Bubble Butt allows movement in both the vertical and horizontal planes, enabling the carriage to follow the natural arc created as the hips rise and lower.

This movement system is designed to provide the stability of a guided machine while allowing greater freedom of motion than a conventional fixed-track design.

Heavy-duty linear bearings provide a smooth and consistent carriage movement throughout the exercise.

Two Pad Configuration Options

The Bubble Butt offers two distinct pad configurations so users can select the setup that best matches their training preference.

Half-Moon Pad

The large round Half-Moon Pad provides a broad, contoured contact surface designed to sit securely across the hips.

Its rounded shape allows the pad to maintain more consistent contact as the hips move through the exercise and may provide a more natural feel for users who prefer a traditional hip thrust roller-style setup.

Flat Pad With Adjustable Shoulder Pads

The traditional flat pad configuration includes adjustable shoulder pads designed to help secure the upper body during the movement.

The shoulder-pad position can be adjusted to accommodate different user heights and body proportions while helping the user maintain a stable upper-body position throughout the exercise.

The two pad systems are alternative configurations and are not intended to be used simultaneously.

Adjustable-Angle Footplate

The large footplate offers multiple angle adjustments, allowing users to customize foot positioning and lower-body alignment.

Changing the footplate angle can alter ankle position, knee bend, and the overall feel of the movement. This gives users greater control over their setup and allows the machine to accommodate a wider range of mobility levels, body proportions, and training preferences.

The footplate provides a stable, textured surface designed to support secure foot placement throughout heavy sets.

Adjustable Starting Position and Range of Motion

The Bubble Butt includes multiple starting and stopping positions that allow users to customize the bottom position and overall range of motion.

These adjustments make it possible to accommodate different body sizes, hip mobility levels, pad configurations, and training goals.

Users may select a deeper starting position for a greater stretch or a higher starting position for a shorter, more controlled range of motion.

Independent Racking Handles

The carriage includes independent left and right racking handles positioned within reach of the user.

These handles allow the carriage to be secured from the exercise position without requiring the user to climb out from underneath the pad or depend on a second person to rack the machine.

The racking system is designed to provide multiple secure stopping points and convenient control over the beginning and end of each set.

Users must confirm that both sides are fully and evenly engaged before entering or exiting the machine.

Knurled Aluminum Handles

Knurled aluminum handles are incorporated into the carriage assembly to provide a secure gripping surface throughout the movement.

The handles assist with upper-body stabilization and allow users to maintain consistent positioning during both lighter and heavier sets.

Integrated Band Pegs

Integrated band pegs allow resistance bands to be added to the machine for accommodating resistance.

Bands can increase resistance toward the top of the movement, where the glutes approach full contraction, while reducing resistance closer to the bottom position.

Resistance bands are not included unless expressly stated in the product listing or order invoice.

Seated Calf Raise Functionality

Although not specifically designed for this movement, the Bubble Butt can also be configured for standing calf raises, adding additional lower-body functionality without requiring a separate dedicated machine.

The adjustable footplate and guided carriage allow users to perform seated calf raises through a controlled range of motion while using the half moon pad configuration as the upper-body contact point.

Users should begin with a light load when first setting up the calf raise movement and confirm that the pad, footplate, carriage, and racking positions are properly adjusted before adding weight.

Plate-Loaded Resistance

The Bubble Butt uses plate-loaded resistance, allowing users to increase or decrease the load using standard Olympic weight plates.

Plate-loaded resistance provides substantial loading potential while keeping the machine mechanically straightforward and eliminating the footprint and cost of an integrated selectorized weight stack.

Heavy-Duty Construction

The Bubble Butt is constructed from heavy-duty steel and designed for demanding home-gym, personal-training, and independent gym use.

The reinforced frame, bearing-supported carriage, adjustable components, and plate-loaded system are designed to provide a stable and substantial feel throughout the exercise.

Four removable weight plate storage horns are included. Each horn can be installed or removed to accommodate the user’s preferred storage setup and machine configuration.

Delivery and Assembly Expectations

Temple of Gainz machines are heavy-duty equipment designed for serious training. Proper tools and at least two people are required for assembly.

These machines are not lightweight or flat-packed consumer products. They arrive crated and partially disassembled, and proper setup requires time, care, and familiarity with heavy steel frames, bearings, moving carriage components, adjustment mechanisms, and weight-loading systems.

Assembly manuals are provided digitally by QR code rather than as printed copies, allowing us to continually improve and update the instructions.

Although many customers assemble their machines themselves, we strongly recommend hiring a local fitness-equipment technician if you are not experienced with heavy gym equipment. Professional assembly commonly costs approximately $200 to $600 per machine and may save several hours, depending on your tools and experience.

Temple of Gainz does not offer assembly services outside the Los Angeles area. Hiring locally is generally faster and more cost-effective.

Please review our Shipping Policy and Product and Assembly Disclaimer before purchasing, including all delivery, inspection, installation, assembly, safety, and product-use expectations.

By completing a purchase, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the applicable shipping, assembly, payment, cancellation, safety, and product-use policies.
