A legendary design, perfected!

The Temple of Gainz Plate-Loaded Iso-Lateral Xpload Row V2 is our modern interpretation of one of the most iconic plate-loaded row machines ever created. Inspired by the legendary and now out-of-production Nautilus Xpload Row, it delivers the same unmistakable mechanical feel, refined for modern training environments and a wider range of users.

What’s new in Version 2

Version 2 elevates an already excellent machine into a complete back-training solution.

The addition of a fully adjustable chest-supported pad allows you to remove momentum and lower-back assistance, locking the torso in place for stricter reps and true back isolation. A knurled center handle provides added stability during unilateral work, while the lengthened rear seat pad accommodates taller users, up to 7 feet, without sacrificing stretch or positioning.

The result is cleaner execution, better isolation, and more consistent engagement across unilateral and bilateral movements.

Legendary mechanics, modern execution

This plate-loaded compound mid row uses independent arms to deliver a strong, natural pulling motion while allowing true unilateral or bilateral loading. This helps address left-to-right imbalances and promotes balanced back development over time.

Swiveling handles follow your natural hand position and pulling arc, creating a smooth, efficient movement on every rep. Large, dedicated footplates and a slightly angled seat provide a stable base so you can focus entirely on driving the movement through your lats, upper back, and rhomboids.

The movement path is controlled, repeatable, and mechanically efficient, rep after rep.

Key features:

  • Natural, powerful rowing arc

  • Heavy-duty 11-gauge steel with premium bearings and components

  • Smooth, consistent tension throughout the pull

  • Independent arms for unilateral and bilateral training

  • Adjustable chest-supported pad with center knurled grip handle

  • Lengthened seat pad for taller users

  • Two optional storage weight horns

  • Up to 120 kg / 265 lb of loading capacity per side

From great to Xcellent!

Version 1 was an excellent machine. Version 2 is what it always should have been.

If you’ve trained on classic Nautilus equipment and have been chasing that same mechanical feel ever since, the Temple of Gainz Xpload Row V2 delivers it, with modern refinement and isolation taken to the next level.

Assembly Expectations

Temple of Gainz selectorized machines are heavy-duty, commercial-grade equipment designed for serious training, and they require proper tools and at least two people for assembly.

These are not flat-packed or lightweight items; they arrive crated and disassembled, and are built for heavy duty use and demand time and effort to set up correctly. We provide detailed assembly manuals for every model, but please be prepared for the process.

Although the majority of our customers are able to assemble the machines themselves, if you are not experienced with equipment that involves bearings, guide rods, weight stacks, and/or heavy frames, we strongly recommend hiring a local fitness equipment technician.

Companies such as Fitness Machine Technicians typically charge $200 to $400 per machine, which can save you 2 to 6+ hours, depending on your tools and experience.

Please note that we do not offer assembly services outside of the Los Angeles area, as hiring locally is usually faster and more cost-effective, and we prefer to pass those savings on to you!
